Most nouns: add -s → cup → cups
Ending -s, -sh, -ch, -x, -z: add -es → bench → benches
Consonant + y: change y to -ies → library → libraries
Vowel + y: add -s → day → days
Ending -f/-fe: change to -ves → shelf → shelves • wolf → wolves
Irregular: man → men • goose → geese • tooth → teeth • foot → feet • ox → oxen
Same form: sheep • deer • fish • species • series
