Concrete noun: you can see it, touch it, hear it, smell it or taste it → stone, bridge, bread, sparrow, ocean
Abstract noun: you can only think about or feel it, not see or touch it → courage, freedom, patience, honesty

Quick test: Can you photograph it? Yes → concrete. No → abstract.
